About the Workshop

Join us for an exhilarating three-day Existential Hope Worldbuilding Workshop that brings together thinkers, technologists, and creatives to collaboratively envision and design a positive future with AI. Over the course of three days, we'll dive deep into the realms of hard technologies, social structures, and creative storytelling to craft a detailed and inspiring future scenario.

Each day features a 2-hour workshop, building upon the previous day's insights to create a comprehensive vision of a hopeful future. Participants are welcome to join for the entire series or individual days, with each session offering unique value and perspectives.

Workshop Structure

Day 1:

Hard Technologies Workshop - Envisioning the Future of Science and Technology

  • Speaker: Tushant Jha, Director of Research at AI Objectives Institute
  • Focus: Explore how AI can accelerate advancements in nanotechnology, biotechnology, robotics, and more
  • Activities: Brainstorming and prototyping sessions with a d/acc (decentralized accelerationist) perspective

  • In collaboration with Seapunk as part of their Seapunk Symposium, we will dive into innovative governance models, policy frameworks, and cultural shifts that could support a thriving future with AI.
  • Speaker: Michel Bauwens, Founder of the P2P Foundation
  • Focus: Examine innovative governance models, policy frameworks, and cultural shifts to support a thriving AI-enabled future
  • Activities: Collaborative design of societal structures that embrace positive technological change

Storytelling and Visualization - Bringing Our Future to Life

  • Collaborators: CROSSLUCID
  • Focus: Translate ideas from previous days into compelling narratives and visuals
  • Activities: Create "day in the life" scenarios and stunning imagery depicting our envisioned future
  • We will be joined by artist Syntonikka who will both help mentor participants and also creating their own interpretations of the worlds.
